One of the great things about mac is the ability to link objects between mail, to do apps, etc. What reasonable reason would there be for changing the unique identifier for an email if moved to another folder in outlook? This is just so backward. That hasn't worked for the past 18 months either. I used to use another freeware app called "linker" that could also link to any outlook email, even if moved to the archive. Unfortunately my office runs its own exchange server so I can't even take advantage of Microsoft Flow automations, which is probably a way to get around this.įWIW it is not a Todoist plug-in-only problem. ![]() No matter what email services you are using in your Outlook, you now have an awesome to-do list not only right next to you but also with you wherever you go. Which basically means I can't do quick inbox triaging anymore. This has been confirmed by Todoist support. Now, it opens the Outlook on the web window, and it's just sitting there and can't find the message you moved. With the old plugin, you could create a task from a message, move the message to a folder or archive it, and clicking on the Todoist task would still find the message. To create a card, select the board and list where you would like the. Now, when you open an email, you will see the add-in icon in the email header. To make things worse, to the point that linking to a message has become useless to me, you can't find a message if you move it. To get started with with the Trello addin for Outlook on iOS and Android, go to Outlook Settings > add-ins, and tap the ‘+’ sign next to the Trello add-in. That is, when I click on a task created by the plug-in, it won't open desktop Outlook to show me the message but instead tries to open the Outlook on the web in my browser. While everything you said I agree with, however, a major issue for me is that links to email messages are now links to Outlook on the web. Download Todoist for Outlook 2.7.8.
